So I sit here at 2:05 am Pacific time, thanks pacific ocean,and listening to MAN MAN. This album is incredible and amazing. It's like if Gogol Bordello was a lot more strange and less punk rock.
Really that isn't even the issue as of now.
My mind is finally coming together again...I need to write. I am going to start writing children stories, yes yes i am! This has been an idea being tossed around for years and years.
The first one is about a pool party that turns strange in one child's imagination.

This is totally the music to listen to while writing a children's story, its twisted like a child's sense of the world.
ALSO GET STOKED RECORDS has a new co-owner, this is amazing Eric and myself have always talked about doing a label together and today we joined together, its incredible it made my week!
oh that and ill be in red wood city saturday!!! So amanda if you read this get excited!!

Wow. I have not had a live journal in quite some time. Thank you Amanda for the inspiration on that! Well most of you know a lot about me, But for anyone just reading. My name is Jon Schmitt, I am living in the SF/Bay Area of California..but I miss Portland, Oregon a ton. I am vegan and love cooking, so lets be friends and have an awesome record listening/dinner party!

I run Get Stoked Records, and love to read and write music. Currently I have been teaching myself guitar and it has proven to be an incredible experience...so much has just exploded out, it has been amazing.  I also have been listening to tons of music recently  seeing as i broke my knee cap and can not do much of anything.
